Pay Range: Hire $22.08, 6 months $22.08, 1 year $22.08 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing your work area

2. Includes the use of chemical cleaners, sanitizers and acids to maintain compliance with the Jennie-O Turkey Store and USDA regulations

3. Any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

+ Ability to work in a food plant (which may be cold, damp, hot or humid)

+ Good written and verbal communication skills

+ Thorough knowledge of all jobs and chemicals used within the department

+ Ability to work with minimal supervision

+ Simple math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required

+ PHYSICAL: Able to climb stairs, and/or work on elevated stands or platforms

+ Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis

Preferred Qualifications

+ Knowledge and experience with foaming equipment operation and maintenance

+ Specific training and experience in the use of caustics, sanitizers and acids
