Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Atlanta site is looking for a new National Aerospace Customer Care Specialist to join our Air Logistics team.
You as National Air Logistics Aerospace Customer Care Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the transportation, handling and storage of specialized aircraft parts. You will be subject matter expert in these products, as well as the logistical requirements for handling. The role will help support the North America aerospace operations.
How you create impact
+ You will represent the USA AOG & Engine Desk to both internal and external customers
+ Handle general customer service inquiries related to tracking and tracing of AOG & Engine shipments
+ Prepare, handle, and process documentation for AOG & Engine moves
+ Maintain compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and customer requirements
+ Coordinate all aspects of pick-up and delivery, including initiation, rate quotation, status updates, and vendor invoice approval
+ Track and trace shipments, monitor vendor performance, and address and resolve service irregularities
+ Collaborate with company branches, gateways, and other offices under the direction of the AOG & Engine Desk Manager to deliver high-level service.
+ Create quotes for pricing teams and customers.
+ Maximize profitability on all files, maintaining cost consciousness.
+ Escalate unresolved issues or risks before they impact the company.
+ Assist in developing and implementing strategies for efficient air logistics operations.
+ Monitor and improve service performance metrics specific to aerospace logistics.
+ Provide specialized support for aerospace AOG & Engine industry-specific requirements and challenges.
+ Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize air logistics processes for aerospace clients.
What we would like you to bring
+ Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Transportation, Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry.
+ Minimum of 1+ year of hands-on experience handling the transportation of airplane engines or aircraft parts.
+ Dangerous Goods Certification is preferred.
+ Familiarity with SALOG and CargoWise systems is highly desirable.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
+ Strong understanding of domestic and international geography, including major countries, cities, and airport codes.
+ Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
