Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Job Description
The Press Brake Operator at our custom manufacturing company is responsible for operating press brakes to bend and form sheet metal as specified by blueprints, programs, layouts, and work instructions.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and run complex bend and forming operations on Cincinnati and Amada Press Brakes.
+ Determine the appropriate tooling combination to achieve the required dimensions on sheet metal parts.
+ Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
+ Utilize other manufacturing equipment and machines as needed, including rolls, overhead cranes, Whitney, and various hand tools.
+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Adhere to relevant Quality and Safety programs, such as ISO-9001.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with shear, press brake, and brake press machines.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding specifications.
+ Ability to operate punch press and other sheet metal machinery.
+ Strong mathematical skills and ability to use tape measure, rule, and square.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least 1 year of experience as a Press Brake Operator.
+ Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. with frequent bending, stooping, and twisting.
+ Commitment to perform duties safely and efficiently according to company and OSHA guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay City, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
