    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanics

     

    Draper, UT | Night Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

    $21–22/hr base + 50–70% Weekly Bonus

    **Average Take-Home:** $31.50–$35.70/hr

    What You’ll Do:

    Maintain and repair a large scrap shredder and related systems (conveyors, hydraulics, air systems, gearboxes).

     

    Perform mechanical maintenance after production ends — this is strictly mechanical, not electrical.

     

    Use forklifts, skid steers, and basic welding tools for repairs and part replacements.

     

    Clean out pipes, remove jammed parts, and follow a daily maintenance checklist.

     

    Work outdoors year-round — this is a dirty, physical job in the elements.

    What You Bring:

    2+ years of industrial or heavy equipment maintenance experience.

     

    Strong mechanical aptitude — millwright, construction, or heavy equipment backgrounds are a great fit.

     

    Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and skid steers.

     

    Basic welding (MIG, stick) and fabrication skills.

     

    Must be able to lift, shovel, climb, and work in tight spaces.

     

    Willingness to work overnight shifts and adapt to production needs.

    Work Environment:

    This is a hands-on, outdoor role in a metal recycling yard. You’ll get dirty, work in all weather conditions, and be part of a team that keeps massive machines running smoothly.

    The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $43680.00/yr.
