Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and data-savvymid-career professionalto serve as Executive Director of Assessment and Accreditation. This role provides integrated leadership across the areas of institutional assessment, accreditation, and institutional research.
Working closely with both faculty and staff, the Executive Director bridges academic and administrative units to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, facilitate meaningful use of assessment data, and support strategic planning and student success efforts. This position is ideal for someone seeking growth in asmall, agile teamwith broad responsibility and institutional visibility.
The Executive Director supervises a team of three: the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, the Coordinator of Institutional Research, and the Institutional Research Analyst. The ideal candidate is both a strategist and a hands-on contributor with strong communication skills and a practical understanding of institutional operations in apublic regional university context.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead LSUS’s institutional assessment and accreditation functions, ensuring alignment with SACSCOC and other external standards.
+ Coordinate preparation of accreditation reports, self-studies, substantive change requests, and other required documentation.
+ Supervise and mentor a small team across Institutional Effectiveness and Institutional Research.
+ Oversee processes related tofaculty credentialing, ensuring ongoing compliance with institutional and accreditation expectations.
+ Serve as a connector across academic affairs, collaborating with deans, department chairs, program directors, and assessment coordinators.
+ Design and oversee systems for reporting and communicating assessment and research findings to support planning and improvement.
+ Contribute to a campus culture of continuous improvement through training, consultation, and shared leadership.
+ Maintain current knowledge of state, federal, and regional accreditation and reporting requirements.
+ Serve as SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison, or assist in coordination thereof.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
+ Master’s degree required; terminal degree preferred.
+ At least5 years of progressive experiencein institutional effectiveness, institutional research, or academic administration, preferably in apublic regional university.
+ Familiarity with SACSCOC standards, IPEDS reporting, and programmatic accreditation processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with clarity to a wide range of stakeholders.
+ Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience serving as aSACSCOC liaisonand/orIPEDS keyholder.
+ Familiarity withfaculty credentialing processesand academic personnel documentation.
+ Experience using Watermark or similar systems for assessment and reporting.
+ Knowledge of Louisiana higher education systems and policies.
+ A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and a track record of turning data into action.
