    Soldering Technician – 3-Month Contract

     

    Soldering Technician – Contract Project (Solar Battery Packs)

     

    Grantsville, UT | $25+/hr | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

     

    We’re hiring experienced Soldering Technicians for a short-term project focused on solar battery pack assembly and rework. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, technical skill, and familiarity with electronic components and soldering standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform hand soldering of electronic components on populated PCBs (through-hole and surface mount).

     

    Use soldering irons, hot air rework stations, and other tools to assemble and rework battery enclosures and panels.

     

    Remove and replace components, adhesives, and coatings (e.g., formocoat) as part of the rework process.

     

    Conduct visual inspections of solder joints and rework areas to ensure quality and compliance with IPC standards.

     

    Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

     

    Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and follow ESD and safety protocols.

    Qualifications:

    2–5 years of soldering experience in electronics manufacturing or repair.

     

    Proficient with hand and power tools, measurement tools, and rework techniques.

     

    Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards (certification preferred, expired certs accepted).

     

    IPC-7711 experience is a plus.

     

    Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions.

     

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Ideal Backgrounds:

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
