Job Title: Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder who can perform welding tasks on various types of steel. This role requires expertise in stick, flux core, and MIG welding, as well as the ability to fabricate and work out of position including overhead, vertical, and horizontal welding. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using a variety of measuring tools is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Perform stick, flux core, and MIG welding on various types of steel including aluminum, hot roll, and cold roll.

+ Conduct out-of-position welding such as overhead, vertical, and horizontal.

+ Read and interpret blueprints to guide welding and fabrication tasks.

+ Utilize tape measures, gauges, squares, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy in welding and fabrication.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.

+ Experience with MIG welding and flux core welding.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

+ Skilled in using measuring tools for precision work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in a custom weld shop.

+ TIG welding experience is a major plus, but not required.

Work Environment

This is a custom fabrication and welding shop catering to client-specific needs. The work environment is not climate-controlled and can be dusty and loud at times. The shop is small, fostering a close-knit team atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
