PAY: $20-25/hr
Hours: 7:30AM-5PM Monday-Friday.
Some travel around the Midwest required depending on project site.
MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE - WILL BE DRIVING COMPANY VEHICLES
Job Description
The Solar Installer will be responsible for managing the installation of photovoltaic systems from start to finish. This role requires coordination with customers and supervisors, installation of all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment, completion of system documentation and procedures, and ensuring the successful operation of the complete photovoltaic system. Effective communication and regular updates on project status with operations management staff are essential.
Responsibilities
+ Organize crews and resources to complete projects according to established policies and procedures.
+ Complete projects within strict timeframes and allowed budgets.
+ Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment.
+ Provide operations and maintenance functions.
+ Ensure all materials are available before scheduled work.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
+ Fully commission projects, including setup of online monitoring of accounts.
+ Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety.
+ Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, addressing all questions and concerns.
+ Perform equipment maintenance, shop, truck, and trailer organization and cleanliness.
+ Engage in general construction work using hand tools, measuring, leveling, and assembling.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1 year of construction experience.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.
+ Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds frequently.
+ Experience in solar installation and solar panel work.
+ Ability to use tape measures and hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
+ General construction knowledge, including roofing, electrical, carpentry skills, and experience with ladders and scaffolding.
+ Ability to work overtime, have flexible hours, travel to job sites, and stay overnight as required.
+ Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
+ Attention to detail and good attendance.
+ Preferred experience with heavy equipment such as material handlers, loaders, forklifts, excavators, trenchers, and boring machines.
+ Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
+ Ability to innovate, improve operations, and solve complex problems.
+ Ability to thrive in a team environment.
+ High integrity, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to excel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
