Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team in the shipping department. This role involves operating forklifts, loading and unloading trailers, and ensuring proper load handling. The specialist will be responsible for pulling and preparing orders for shipments, maintaining inventory control, and moving products from staging/storage areas to trailers. The position requires heavy lifting and precision in handling materials.

Responsibilities

+ Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Load and unload trailers with precision.

+ Understand and follow proper load handling procedures.

+ Pull and prepare orders for shipments accurately.

+ Maintain inventory control and manage stock levels.

+ Move products from staging/storage areas to trailers ensuring safety and order.

+ Perform heavy lifting and material handling tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in forklift operation.

+ Experience with heavy equipment handling.

+ Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

+ Strong logistics and inventory control skills.

+ Ability to efficiently pick and select orders.

+ Skill in using RF scanners and cherry pickers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 3+ years of experience in shipping and receiving.

+ Proven expertise as an order picker.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Prattville, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $47000.00/yr.
