Sales Assistant

The Sales Assistant’s role is fast paced and multi-faceted with the main objective of supporting the sales team in achieving annual sales and revenue projections. This position works cross-functionally with various departments assisting with daily tasks and questions presented both internally and externally and requires a broad understanding and knowledge of business to effectively support the objectives.
Essential Functions of the Job:
+ Support the sales team and dealer contacts with daily needs.
+ Support regional sales personnel, national accounts sales and governmental specialist.
+ Support team members with the following and as necessary:
1. Inventory availability and estimated completion dates
2. Units on production schedule going forward and volume modifications
3. Walk-in sales, equipment allocation on schedule and used equipment
4. Communication of issues affecting equipment delivery
5. Be accountable for completing daily tasks that include: processing quotes, equipment orders, invoices, transportation requests, engineering requests, demo requests, leads of all types, EDA (UCC) and AEM reports, updating CRM on Demand, visitor communications, ECO/CUR requests, etc.
+ Support National Account Manager with costing and general questions/inquiries
+ Support direct sales personnel with general questions, equipment delivery and pick-up
+ Understand regional goals, reporting and long-term strategies to support dealer sales personnel.
+ Assist in updating and maintaining equipment bid specifications with Engineering.
+ Conduct training sessions (e.g. sales, chipper operator safety, dealer reviews, etc.)
+ Attend national and local trade shows as required.
+ Learn and understand our product lines and assist in training dealers on the features, functions and benefits of our products.
+ Responsible for tracking Out-of-Plant Inventory (OPI), completing monthly and yearly audits, and completing all required paperwork.
+ Assist in forecasting activities and consolidation of forecasted equipment.
+ Update used equipment specifications and photos, inventory lists, etc.
+ Assist in maintaining, updating and communicating training tools.
+ Assist sales personnel and dealers with municipal contracts, quotes, bids and buying programs as needed.
+ Assist with special projects, teams, etc.

+ Effectively communicate with internal personnel and outside customers in both written and oral form.
+ Able to work independently.
+ Be able to follow both written and verbal instruction/direction.
+ Efficient time management and organizational skills.
+ Project a professional image.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education and Experience** **:
+ Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent.
+ Previous sales, or sales support experience preferred.
+ Proficient with Microsoft office products (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
