Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment through preventive maintenance and repair tasks. This position involves conducting boiler and refrigeration checks, overhauls, and updates to equipment. The technician will work on electrical, welding, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, performing troubleshooting and repair work as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure uptime.

+ Perform repairs on equipment to maintain production efficiency.

+ Carry out boiler and refrigeration checks regularly.

+ Overhaul and update equipment as necessary.

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical, welding, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

+ Complete all other assigned duties as necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience as a maintenance technician.

+ Expertise in preventive maintenance and refrigerant handling.

+ Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.

+ Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 3+ years of mechanical experience including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

+ MN State Specialist Class Boilers license or higher is preferred.

+ Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, plumbing, and PLCs.

+ Ammonia refrigeration and preventative maintenance experience is a plus.

+ Physical ability to stand for 10 hours per day, and frequently bend, lift, and twist.

+ Positive attitude and teamwork skills.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

The work environment involves high noise levels, varied temperatures from warm to cold, slippery floors, moving equipment, and dust. Proper PPE and equipment are required for safety. The position follows a rotating schedule: 5 days on, 4 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, totaling 40 hours per week with alternating weeks of 30 hours straight time and 10 hours overtime. The 2nd shift runs from 1PM to 11:30PM, with days either Monday to Wednesday and rotating weekends or Wednesday to Friday and rotating weekends.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51272.00 - $62628.00/yr.
