Job Description Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of store partners to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience. The supervisor is responsible for managing the overall operation of the store. In particular, a majority of the time is spent supervising and directing the workers, making staffing decisions, (i.e. hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, staffing and scheduling), ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store’s financial performance and managing safety and security within the store. The Supervisor is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks and Southeast Health’s guiding principles.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree (preferred), or high school diploma or GED (required) Three years of management experience in the restaurant, retail or customer service industry Past Barista Experience (preferred) Basic knowledge of computer key board, word and excel programs Experience with financial reports Excellent Customer Service Skills

LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Honor confidentiality guidelines in all areas of position Ability to interact with guests in an appropriate and professional manner

Ability to manage store operations Ability to manage effectively in a fast paced environment Ability to multi task Ability to manage resources to ensure that established service levels are achieved at all times Interpersonal skills Knowledge of customer service techniques Knowledge of supervisory practices Organization and planning skills Strong operational skills in a customer service environment Team building and problem solving skills Strong leadership skills, the ability to coach and mentor others Ability to plan and prioritize duties
