    THE POSITION

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As a key member of the maintenance team at Hickory Run State Park Complex, which encompasses Hickory Run and Lehigh Gorge State Parks along with the Nescopeck Environmental Education Center, you will play an essential role in ensuring the upkeep of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment across the complex. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the organization, planning, and supervision of a maintenance crew, all aimed at providing a safe and enriching experience for park visitors.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time employment

    + Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch

    + Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week

    + Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following: electrical trades, plumbing trades carpentry trades, mechanical trades, water or wastewater treatment plant operations, or the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or

    + An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Special Requirement:

    + All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.
