    _Primary location will be at Cardinal Glennon Hospital, may need to travel at one of our other locations._

    Job Summary:

    Provides clinical and office support for the Audiology department

    Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Assists the Audiologist with testing the hearing of children through developmentally appropriate interaction and techniques.

    + Conducts Newborn Hearing Screenings on infants prior to NICU discharge and completes paperwork and documentation to ensure appropriate follow-up.

    + Coordinates buying, receiving, and stocking of audiology clinic supplies to maintain adequate inventory.

    + Assists the Audiologist with cleaning and maintaining hearing aids and other amplification devices.

    + Organizes and sterilizes treatment rooms, supplies, and equipment on a regular basis.

    + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

    + Communicates effectively and kindly with patients, families, and other hospital staff.

    + Participates in team meetings.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    EXPERIENCE

    + No experience required

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    + Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

    + Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

    + Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

    + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

    + Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

    + Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

    + Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

    + Rare climbing.

    REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

    Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
