    Description

    Customer specializes in VOIP installation and support, Access Control and security camera installation and support, and other low voltage wiring projects where we support client's needs and requests.

     

    • Identify and prepare pathways and supports for new cabling system installation

    • Pull copper, coaxial and fiber optic cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environments

    • Terminate voice and data jacks

    • Terminate data cables on patch panels

    • Terminate and/or cross-connect voice cables on 66 or 110 blocks

    • Assist with build out of data closets – install ladder rack, cable trays, data racks and rack-mount equipment

    • Learn how to read blue prints and assist with identifying cabling pathways

    • Comply with all building codes and safety standards

    • Communicate effectively with Technicians, Foreman, Field Supervisors and other coworkers about project status

    • Assist with testing copper cable installations and learn to use testing equipment

    • Complete timesheets, expense reports, mileage reports, and other job-related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner

    • Perform other duties that may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    2-3 years of experience in low voltage installation, working with cat 5 cat 6 cable. Fiber not required will train on this.

     

    Candidates must have their own hand tools. Munger will provide power tools.

     

    Must have valid drivers license. DMV check is part of the process.

     

    Reporting to the Low Voltage Services Director, the ISP Technician - 1 is responsible for assisting with the on-site installation of voice, data, fiber optic cable systems, security, CCTV and paging. A person in this role must possess the ability to take and follow direction and have the ability and desire to learn quickly and ask questions.

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
