Position Description:
The Student Financial Aid Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial aid department of Texas Tech University by providing comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and administration of student financial aid programs. This position involves meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial aid policies and regulations.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Assist in the planning, design and implementation of office operations, policies, procedures and compliance activities for campus-based state programs.
+ Ensure that processing, reconciliation and applications are complete for state programs.
+ Recommends policies and procedures for state financial aid that support the goals of the institution and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
+ Assist with the management of electronic and manual processes required to certify recipients for state scholarship, grant, and grant payments.
+ Reconcile student aid disbursements with payments received from various state funded scholarships and grant programs.
+ Provide financial aid counseling to students and parents regarding application procedures and eligibility requirements for student aid programs and assist students and their families with the completion of application forms.
+ Provide primary backup and support for Operations team as it relates to federal verifications, R2TV, and SAP.
+ Serve as liaison between Texas Tech Financial Aid and Scholarship Office and state gran program offices and representatives to ensure timely drawdown of funds monthly.
+ Work collaboratively with IT department on completion of timely and accurate FADS reporting.
+ Represent the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office at various student recruitment and yield functions, financial aid information sessions and orientation programs.

Bachelor’s degree plus one year related experience or a combination of education and progressively responsible related experience to equal five years.
