Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamicFood Service Directorto oversee daily operations food service programs in Niagara County. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is passionate about nutrition, compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage the overall operations of school food service program

+ Hire, train, and supervise kitchen managers and food service staff

+ Develop menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines and student preferences

+ Monitor food and supply inventories, ordering, and budget adherence

+ Ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll, production records, and reporting

+ Build positive relationships with school administrators, staff, and students

+ Implement customer service and quality assurance standards

+ Lead with a hands-on approach to team leadership and operational excellence

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food service management

+ Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

+ ServSafe Certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)

+ Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

+ Must pass a New York State background check
