What You’ll Do as a Transportation Highway Group Manager
+ Deliver transportation projects that improve mobility, safety, and quality of life in local communities.
+ Foster ahigh-performing, motivated teamthrough clear expectations, constructive feedback, mentoring, and career development.
+ Oversee thedesign and execution of highway engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
+ Serve as atechnical lead, guiding the team on best practices, decisions, and troubleshooting as needed.
+ Implement and overseequality control processesand conduct technical audits to ensure high standards.
+ Maintaineffective communicationwith project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams.
+ Ensureeffective resource allocation, adequate staffing, and utilization to meet project and team goals.
+ Assist inrecruiting top engineering talentwho align with the team’s technical excellence and company culture.
+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.
+ Stay current with transportation designtrendsandemerging technologies,integrating them into project solutions.

Salary Range$110,000-$170,000
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.

Requirements
What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Transportation Group Highway Manager
+ B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
+ 8-15 years’ experience in civil transportation engineering
+ Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
+ Prior staff management preferred
+ Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation preferred
+ Familiarity with NYDOT design standards preferred
+ Professional performance standards aligned with Fisher’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
+ Proven ability to deliver quality work through critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment
