UPMC McKeesport is currently looking to hire a fulltime Stationary Engineer to work various shifts that include day, evening and overnight. This role will also have weekend and holiday responsibility.

Purpose:
Install and maintain all equipment related to Boiler House operations.
Responsibilities:
+ Documentation of all equipment related to boiler house.
+ Respond to all Hospitals alarms and trouble calls.
+ Complete preventive maintenance related to assigned duties in a timely fashion.
+ Work in conjunction with outside contractors assigned to facility task.
+ Assist in all Regulatory Bodies surveys and corrections.
+ Adhere to all ICRA requirements concerning patient, visitors, and employee safety.
+ Complete work orders related to assigned duties in a timely fashion.
+ Maintain chemical feed systems for facility equipment.
+ Maintain material for daily and project activity.
+ Perform required testing of boiler house equipment.
+ Keep consumption records pertaining to utilities supplied to and from boiler house.
+ Perform steam trap program.
+ Assist plumbing or hvac journeyman in install and repair of boiler house equipment.
+ Estimate time and material for assigned jobs.
+ Daily operation of boiler house equipment that provides steam, hvac, emergency power, and hot water to facility.
+ Shift coverage to maintain daily Facilities Operations.
+ Investigate technical information and pricing for completion of purchase orders.
+ High School Diploma, or equivalent required, technical school or certified apprenticeship in area of employment preferred.
+ Computer applications required to perform essential job functions.
+ Required to perform manual construction labor and lift in excess of 50lbs; also, work in Hazardous Areas when required.
+ Required to interpret and build from blueprints and schematics.
+ Required to climb ladders and work off of scaffolding when necessary.
+ Required to walk, stoop, or stand in positions required for job functions.
+ Maintain physical conditioning to perform necessary construction task.
+ Required knowledge of all hand and power tools required in Building Trades.
+ Required to perform snow removal using proper equipment.
+ Must be able to work in extreme temperature for long periods of time.
+ Able to distinguish alarm sounds, read sign, and recognize colors.
+ 2 years of stationary engineer experience in either a healthcare or commercial facility preferred.
+ NIULPE Class 4 or 5 engineer license preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Driver's License
+ Stationary Engineer - within in 2 years of hire.
+ Act 34
