Nordstrom is hiring a Senior Program Manager to lead the development and execution of a modernized recovery and exhaust network within our Reverse Supply Chain (RSC) . This role plays a critical part in transforming how returned inventory is managed—enhancing operational efficiency, maximizing value recovery, and supporting a seamless customer experience . The position is central to driving enterprise-wide modernization efforts and advancing Nordstrom’s long-term supply chain strategy.
This is a high-impact role requiring deep expertise in program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional execution . The ideal candidate will bring a strong command of program management principles, a history of managing complex initiatives, and the ability to influence outcomes across a broad organizational landscape.
Nordstrom’s Reverse Supply Chain team plays a vital role in creating a network that meets customer experience goals while delivering operational excellence . This Senior Program Manager will own the delivery of individual projects within the broader Reverse Supply Chain transformation and drive measurable outcomes by leveraging strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and effective communication . The projects will focus on opportunities such as:
+ Identifying opportunities to retain returned inventory through optimized physical, logical, and financial flows
+ Documenting and enhancing operational process flows within the Nordstrom Quality Center (NQC)
+ Building a strategic roadmap for the future of our Reverse Supply Chain recovery network
+ Leading enterprise initiatives that span multiple functions and impact core business operations
A day in the life:
+ Strategic Program Management: Lead the planning and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that modernize Nordstrom’s Reverse Supply Chain and Nordstrom Quality Center (NQC) operations.
+ Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Partner closely with Product, Technology, Inventory, Store Operations, Merchandising, and Analytics to align on goals, share insights, and ensure seamless execution across teams . Deliver clear, tailored communication to diverse audiences—from frontline teams to executive leadership—using the right channels to drive engagement and clarity.
+ Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Leverage supply chain performance metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement . Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to build reporting tools that measure program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
+ Innovation and Industry Alignment: Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in retail and supply chain to drive innovation and operational excellence.
+ KPI Development and Integration: Support the creation and monitoring of cross-functional KPIs that align with strategic objectives and ensure accountability across stakeholder groups.
+ Change Management: Guide teams through change by facilitating planning processes, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.
+ Risk Mitigation and Issue Resolution: Proactively identify risks and dependencies, resolve roadblocks, and maintain momentum toward key milestones.
+ Business Impact Delivery: Use data-driven insights to inform strategy, optimize processes, and ensure programs deliver tangible value to the business.
You own this if you have …
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years of experience in program management, management consulting, corporate strategy, or finance
+ Program management experience (5+ years)
+ Demonstrated successful program delivery (5+ years)
+ Extensive experience managing stakeholder relationships
+ VP-level communication and experiences practices in knowledge sharing
+ Proven track record of making programmatic recommendations that enable the business to achieve goals
+ Drives collaboration across teams and capabilities to ensure that the right people with the right knowledge and expertise are involved
+ Well versed in retail and understanding of industry dynamics
+ Highly capable in quantitative skills, including interpretation of model building and insight generation (from a variety of data types and sources)
+ Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
+ Ability to collaborate and communicate with cross-functional partners across all levels of the organization
+ Ability to handle ambiguity and change
