Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ 3+ years of TV studio production experience in a professional or educational environment for live broadcasts and recording sessions
+ Familiarity with a variety of studio production duties (lighting, camera shading, video switchers, audio boards, video playback and recording, Teleprompter, graphics and green screen keying)
+ Hands-on experience with IP video ( NDI , SMPTE 2110) and AoIP (Dante, AES67)
+ Basic IT skills, experience with Windows Server, subnetting, and network diagnostics
+ Experience with journalistic television production (like TV news, Sports programming, talk show, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
+ 5+ years in broadcast engineering with live news/sports productioProficiency in NewTek TriCaster, ENPS , or comparable broadcast automation systems or willingness to learn
+ Vendor-specific training (e.g., NewTek TriCaster, ETC lighting)
+ Experience operating and managing field video equipment, including cameras, tripods, microphones, and lights
+ SBE Certified Broadcast Technologist ( CBT )
+ CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking credential Avixa CTS or equivalent AV credential
Job Description
The Video Network Specialist II will manage, maintain and optimize our advanced television studio infrastructure, including IP-based broadcast systems ( SMPTE 2110), TriCaster production workflows, ENPS newsroom tools, and integrated IT/networking environments. This role combines broadcast engineering expertise, production experience, and IT troubleshooting. This position manages procurement, installation, integration, and maintenance of electronic video, audio, and telecommunications technology equipment and provides operational training and production assistance.
Job Duties
+ Train personnel, faculty and student workers in the correct operation of television production and media equipment.
+ Provide pre-production set up and technical support during live broadcasts and recording sessions.
+ Manage and maintain TV production systems and plan and implement equipment replacement and upgrades.
+ Ensure FCC compliance for transmission systems, systems integration, and maintain system diagrams/SOPs.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
