Position Description
The School of Criminal Justice and Criminology (https://www.cj.txst.edu/) at Texas State University invites applicants for a full-time (nine-month) faculty position at the rank of Full Professor to begin Spring 2026. Responsibilities include high-quality research, grant experience, undergraduate and graduate level teaching, and university, professional, and community service.
Required Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. in criminal justice, criminology, or related field.
Evidence of peer-reviewed publications.
A minimum of 12 years of teaching experience as a full-time faculty member in criminal justice or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience mentoring and publishing with graduate students.
Evidence of effective undergraduate and graduate teaching that serves the school’s needs.
Experience with federal grants.
Evidence of service at the national or international level.
Potential for developing a self-sustained research center.
