    About the Team

     

    The Engineering team of the Office of the CTO is supporting various programs, with a focus on implementing quickly and efficiently innovative solutions to address challenges at5 the limit of today’s technology.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design and implementation of hardware solutions on existing tool portfolio, including metrology, laser, RIE, wet processes and more

    + Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision

    + Lead implementation of the prosed solutions

    + Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test reports with limited supervision

    + Develop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scope

    + Design and procure complete test set ups to validate proposed concepts prior to final implementation

    + Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects, including development of key suppliers. Generate mechanical product specifications.

    + Works with electrical, process or software engineers as needed to bring these concepts in the lab

    + May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

    + Specify and review engineering documentation

    + Implements concepts for variety of complex product issues and mechanical solutions

    Functional Knowledge

    + Strang hands-on experience preferred

    + Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines

    + Vacuum technologies, 3D CAD modeling (NX in Teamcenter environment strongly preferred), temperature control, Fluid management systems (gas flow and/or liquid flow) or optoelectronics.

    + Can comfortably interface with simulation experts to specify and understand results of mechanical and thermal FEAs.

    + Experience in working with Semiconductor, pharmaceutical or aeronautic systems preferred.

    Education: MS strongly preferred

     

    _Successful candidates must be eligible to lawfully receive export-controlled information, without the need for the company to seek a license. Furthermore, since the role entails work on a US Government funded project, the successful candidate must also be able to meet the Government’s requirements for eligibility to participate in the project, without the need for the company to seek an_** **_exception/extraordinary_** **_approval. The Government’s requirements include certain restrictions on Nationality and_** **_Association/Affiliation_** **_with entities deemed to be of concern._

    The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

     

    For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
