    This position provides specialized cosmetic dermatologic procedures by providing skin analysis and develops skin care programs. This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law.

    Responsibilities

    + Performs minor cosmetic procedures including chemical peels, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, acne treatments, intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments, facials, cosmetic enhancements and full body treatments.

    + Analyzes skin and provides skin care consultations.

    + Develops skin care programs and educates patients.

    + Documents procedures and information in patient charts.

    + Assists physicians with invasive laser surgeries.

    + Orders medical supplies and skin care products.

    + Researches and promotes skin care lines.

    + May perform the duties of a Laser Safety Officer including, but not limited to, managing the cleaning log. working with vendors on maintenance, assisting in the creation of policies and procedures, scheduling patients, assuring availability of the laser, and overseeing the stock of supplies and products.

    + May perform other duties, as assigned.

    + Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.

    + MASTER ESTHETICIAN

    + Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

    _Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation._

     

    + This position involves intermediate working conditions in a healthcare setting that may exert up to 50 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving patients or objects, such as medical equipment, while providing patient care. Workers in this position may be exposed to infectious diseases.
