Description

The Senior Payroll Specialist compiles and records employee time and payroll data to maintain payroll records. This position will accurately compute and post wages and deductions as well as prepare paychecks for craft employees.

+ Leads the weekly payroll process for Craft employees.

+ Cost payroll and reconciles gross to net reports to system generated journal entry.

+ Reconcile and submit payments for employee reductions, withholding, and employer liabilities (401k, benefits, payroll taxes, etc.).

+ Import / Export labor hours from timecard systems.

+ Enter and audit non-recurring earnings elements (retention bonus, etc.)

+ Lead the remittance of direct deposit files to bank; activate pay cards for employees not participating in direct deposit.

+ Compile and balance all payroll reports.

+ Reconcile gross to net reports with periodic/quarterly ADP reports.

+ Responsible for effective and professional communication with project team members and HR.

+ Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

+ All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ High School diploma or GED required.

+ Minimum 8 years of experience processing payroll required.

+ Experience with Oracle or other large software vendors preferred.

+ Must have excellent organizational skills.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ High math aptitude.

+ Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel.

+ Ensure high level of accuracy and absolute confidentiality.
