    **Position Title:** Physician, Nocturnist Hospitalist

    **Position Duties:** Perform cross cover duties on hospitalized patients. Serve as physician lead on all rapid responses for hospitalized patients, including code strokes. Coordinate patient care with needed specialists. Work closely with the nurse supervisor to review outside hospital transfer requests and direct admissions, assessing appropriateness of transfer and/or admission. Admit patients transferred from outside facilities or directly admitted from the community. Admit patients from the emergency department to med/surg and telemetry units. Consult on surgical and other subspecialty patients with complex medical comorbidities. This position is expected to work primarily overnight shifts as part of a smaller team of more experienced hospitalists and nurses.

    **Position Qualifications:** Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. Must have 36 months of training in a residency in either family medicine or internal medicine. Must be board certified or eligible for board certification in family medicine or internal medicine. Must have valid Hawaii medical license. Must be willing and able to work primarily overnight shifts, including holidays and weekends. May be required to work at other Hawaii Pacific Health facilities as needed in the Honolulu Metropolitan Statistical Area (City & County of Honolulu).

    **Rate of Pay:** $257,400.00 - $382,000.00 per year
