    Job Summary Job Summary

    Under general supervision and with administrative guidance plans and organizes comprehensive employee benefit programs which includes insurance, leaves, and Workers’ Compensation; serves as a liaison with insurance carriers and employees in answering inquiries, resolving problems and communicating benefit coverage. Responsible for the daily operations pertaining to the administration of benefits for the district, specifically insurance, workers’ compensation and leaves of absence.

    This job opportunity is open for public application and is promotional for qualified District applicants.

     

    PLEASE NOTE: Current OVSD classified employees may not hold two permanent job assignments. If you are already a permanent employee for the District and are interested in working more hours you may either submit a transfer request form to the Classified Personnel office or inquire about becoming a substitute in the same or other classifications, in addition to your permanent assignment.

     

    We reserve the right to limit the number of candidates to those deemed most qualified for the particular vacancy, based upon application screening and test scores.

     

    There will be an application screening for the position to verify that the minimum qualifications (education & experience) have been satisfied.

     

    If you pass the screening, you may be scheduled to participate in the Oral/Technical Exam. Candidates must pass each portion of the exam in order to proceed in the recruitment and be placed on the eligibility list.

     

    The eligibility list for this recruitment will be valid for one year.

    Types of Exams and Tentative Dates:

    • Written Exam: Wednesday, August 6, 2025

    • Oral/Technical Remote Spark Hire: Friday, August 8, 2025

    •Final Interview: TBD
