Requirements / Qualifications

Basic Functions: Facilitate an interdisciplinary elective that integrates Spanish language learning with visual and performing arts, including music, dance, theater, and visual art. The Viva Cultura teacher inspires student creativity and fosters cross-cultural understanding through an exploration of traditions from Spanish-speaking countries. This position will deliver a robust arts education experience rooted in cultural expression and language immersion.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education Required: • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Spanish, Fine Arts, Music, Theater, or a related field. • Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish OR Multiple Subject credential with supplemental authorization in Spanish. • EL Authorization or equivalent

Experience: • Demonstrated experience teaching middle school studnets (grades 6-8), strongly preferred. • Prior experience in arts integration and/or project-based instruction. • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.
