Overview
Shift: PRN; As Needed + rotating holidays and weekends
This position is responsible for providing support services for clients surrounding activities of daily living. Throughout the day work includes monitoring client activity, interacting with clients, and documenting client activity. This position assists with maintaining a therapeutic, safe environment utilizing the Robert Young Center guiding principles of trauma informed care.

Responsibilities
+ Cleaning building, completing laundry, stocking supplies, and preparing food for clients
+ Respond to calls and provide front desk coverage
+ Completes safety rounding to maintain therapeutic, secure, and safe environment for patients/visitors/staff including enforcement of rules.
+ Accurately documents safety rounds.
+ Intervenes appropriately and therapeutically in crisis situations using crisis intervention preventions and trauma informed care.
+ Demonstrate competence in recognizing and responding to patients physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs utilizing crisis prevention intervention and trauma informed care.
Qualifications
Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
License(s)/Certification(s):
+ Possession of a valid Class “D” Iowa driver’s license or an equivalent license from the employee’s state of residence.
+ CPR
+ CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training, initial & yearly renewal
Experience:
+ Knowledge of proper food handling and preparation.
+ Mental health or substance disorder experience preferred.
