    Ruben A. Cirilo High School has an anticipated opening for a Counselor. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for all students. Salary range $48,300 - $52,225 based on years of experience.

    Responsibilites:

    To help students overcome problems that impede learning and to assist them in making educational, occupational and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment as mature and responsible adults.

     

    + Provides individual counseling in the solution of personal problems that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding and maturity.

    + Develops student awareness of opportunities in employment, trade schools, college,BOCES, apprenticeship programs and the military.

    + Assists students in the planning of their high school program.

    + Monitors academic progress of pupils and provides help with study skills.

    + Other assignments as needed

    Qualifications:

    + Valid NYS Certification for School Counselor as of 08/2025
