Position Summary...
The Senior Director, Advanced Analytics – Inventory Excellence is a strategic leader focused on building new inventory capabilities that power Walmart’s digital transformation in Merchandising. This highly visible role will lead two business-critical domains: Inventory Targets (including safety stock, buy quantification, and dynamic allocation) and Item Exits (optimizing inventory liabilities through action-based tradeoff models). This opportunity will drive thought leadership, prototype innovation, and change management to ensure our customers have the items they want, need and love, when they want it, at the lowest possible cost. This role works with key partners in Merchandising, along with Supply Chain, eCommerce, data science, product, and engineering teams. The position is based in Bentonville, AR and reports to the Group Director of Inventory Capabilities within Merchandising Excellence.

+ Bring clarity and vision to complex inventory challenges, shaping the future of how Walmart places and manages inventory across its ecosystem
+ Break down barriers and moving fast, translating ideas into action through rapid test-and-learn cycles and collaborative iteration with tech and business partners.
+ Deliver results that matter — improving availability, reducing inventory liabilities, and unlocking better customer experiences and business value
+ Develop a high-performing, mission-driven team, guiding growth, accountability, and innovation across two strategic workstreams
+ Champion the value of inventory capabilities, influencing cross-functional alignment and executive decision-making with a clear, data-backed narrative

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 6 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 8 years'
experience in data analytics or related field.
6 years' supervisory experience OR experience leading cross-functional teams.
