Ready to build the future of data at our company? We're looking for a hands-on full stack engineer to join our Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP) team in the US. You'll be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing our core data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on scalable data pipelines, microservices, and seamless data integration using modern full-stack approaches. If you're passionate about software engineering, and solving data challenges, this role is for you!

Join our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team in the US as a full stack software engineer working with GCP. You will play a key role in evolving our data infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering position focused on our critical data platform built on Google Cloud. You'll use your understanding of software engineering, cloud fundamentals and infrastructure to translate internal business needs into robust, scalable data solutions. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines and microservices using modern architectures, applying full-stack knowledge to ensure data is accessible and integrated across our systems. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn new technologies, understands the needs of internal development teams, and is committed to building high-quality, maintainable data solutions on GCP.

+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and microservices that support both real-time and batch processing on GCP.

+ Implement Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices principles to create modular and flexible data solutions within our platform.

+ Apply full-stack knowledge to ensure seamless integration between data layers, enabling robust data access and supporting internal data exploration tools.

+ Utilize key GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Dataproc to build and manage core data platform components.

+ Implement and manage data governance, access controls, and security best practices leveraging GCP's native features to protect our valuable data assets.

+ Continuously monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and efficiency of our data pipelines and storage solutions.

+ Collaborate closely with internal data architects, software engineers, and other teams to define best practices, design patterns, and frameworks for cloud data engineering.

+ Automate data platform processes to improve reliability, reduce manual effort, and enhance operational efficiency.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience, Master's degree preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, with at least 2 years focused on cloud data platforms (GCP preferred but not required).

+ 3+ years of experience in designing and developing Microservices based applications.

+ Strong understanding of SOA, microservices, and their application within a cloud data platform context.

+ Proficient in Java and/or Angular with experience in designing and deploying cloud-based data pipelines and microservices using GCP tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.

+ Full-Stack Development: Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., React, Node.js) enabling collaboration on data access and visualization layers.

+ Database Management: Experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases, as well as columnar databases like BigQuery.

+ Data Governance and Security: Understanding of data governance frameworks and implementing RBAC, encryption, and data masking in cloud environments.

+ CI/CD and Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines technologies such as Tekton, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, and automation frameworks.

+ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data platform and microservices issues.

+ Strong communication across stakeholders, understanding requirements and translating to tech specifications.

    Licenses and Certifications:

+ GCP Data Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud Architect (Preferred)
