The Ranger Brand Manager is primarily responsible for driving market success of the Ford Ranger. Key responsibilities include developing price strategies, providing marketplace insight to inform customer incentives, and optimizing scheduling to meet sales, share, revenue, and profit targets.
The Brand Manager will also lead go-to-market launch plans, ensure brand alignment across all materials, and act as the voice of the customer, providing insights on consumer and market trends. A crucial aspect of the role is maintaining expert knowledge of the midsize pickup segment and competitive landscape, collaborating extensively with various internal teams like Retail Marketing, Field Operations, and Finance, as well as external agencies, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and to achieve business objectives.
What you'll do…
1. The Ranger Brand Manager must deliver market equation objectives: Sales, Share, Revenue, EBIT
1. Lead model year price strategy / market equation development with the MS&S Controller’s Office
2. Partner w/ Retail Marketing to set and adjust customer incentive actions that deliver sales and share objectives
3. Assess commodity / feature take rates to ensure fastest selling configurations are in the market to improve turn rates
4. Lead efforts to improve mix rates and capture revenue opportunities
2. Partner with Field Operations and Retail Education & Training (RE&T) to address ongoing needs of our Dealers and Field team
3. Develop and execute go-to-market launch plans in collaboration with Marketing and Product Communications teams and agencies
4. Lead brand input into model year changeover process to ensure all consumer- and dealer-facing materials align with the Ranger brand and product priorities
5. Work collaboratively with paid and earned communications teams to ensure all tactics are aligned with agreed messaging priorities
6. Be the Voice of the Customer: recognized as the subject matter expert on Ranger consumer/dealer/market insight to Contests & Incentives, Finance, Field Operations, RE&T and Ford Credit as well as external agency partners
7. Maintain subject matter expertise for Midsize Pickup segment and competitive set; must be the most knowledgeable person in Marketing on the segment and current competitive actions
8. Provide marketplace insight to Product Marketing in strategy / cycle plan development
9. Support program volumes process
You'll have…
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
+ 5+ years of experience in brand management, product marketing, or a related discipline
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market and consumer data
+ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Finance)
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to craft customer-focused messaging
+ Strong project management and organizational abilities

+ Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Marketing
+ Automotive industry experience preferred
+ Proven track record in developing pricing strategies and managing product launches
+ Deep knowledge of go-to-market planning and competitive landscape analysis
+ Experience working with external agencies and managing integrated marketing campaigns
+ Familiarity with customer incentive planning and sales forecasting
+ Strong understanding of brand positioning and alignment across channels
+ Ability to translate consumer insights into actionable strategies
+ Field experience preferred
