• Freelance Sports Photographer

    Eyewitness News is seeking a part-time, temporary sports photographer to film high school football games on Friday nights.

     

    This position is for shooting and recording videos. This is not a job for still photography. Shoot locations are concentrated around the Kern County area.

    Qualifications:

    + We are looking for a reliable, outgoing, well-organized, and professional person who enjoys filming sports

    + This is seasonal work for the months of August through December

    + You must be available to work Friday nights with start times between 5 pm and 7 pm, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

    + Basic familiarity with video camera equipment is recommended

    + The ability to learn and retain training quickly, perform under a set of photographic guidelines, and work in a fast-paced environment is necessary

    + Applicant IS REQUIRED to have frequent access to their personal email account, must have a working cell phone, and must have a reliable vehicle

    + Comprehensive training is provided

    + All equipment is provided

    The hourly compensation range for this role is $15.50 to $17.50. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This is a freelance temporary position the person selected for this role will be paid hourly.
