Description
The Senior Marketing Partner is an experienced marketer who understands marketing strategy and who develops and executes marketing plans that drive business success.
As a Senior Marketing Partner for Student Lending reporting into the Student Lending Growth Strategist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of marketing activities in support of Student Lending products and Student Banking initiatives. Primary marketing channels for this role include direct marketing (email and mobile app), digital marketing (paid and organic social), and branch assets.
This team member will join our experienced and highly visible Student Lending Marketing team within the broader Enterprise Marketing team. Citizens’ Enterprise Marketing team continuously innovates and enhances how we communicate with our customers. We embrace an agile test-and-learn philosophy to meet customer needs more quickly and in a more targeted way. In addition to driving measurable acquisition results, this role will be highly focused on deepening our relationships with existing Citizens customers by driving engagement and building trust.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Lending Acquisition – Email and Mobile App Campaign Development and Execution
+ Collaborate with Growth Strategist, other Student Lending Marketing Partners, and Channel Experts to plan, execute, and optimize email and mobile app campaigns in support of Student Lending acquisition campaigns. This will involve:
+ Serving as the primary liaison with email and mobile app execution teams, submitting campaign intake briefs, orchestrating creative approvals, and monitoring timelines.
+ Managing the creative review process and ensuring that creative assets deliver on the strategy and campaign goals while keeping the customer experience in the forefront.
+ Partnering with web publishing, digital media, and analytics teams to manage landing pages, implement tracking URLs, and ensure accurate reporting.
+ Working with risk management to ensure regulatory standards are met for all campaign materials.
+ Collaborate with Growth Strategist, Student Banking Engagement Pod (email), Content Strategist, Digital Media Strategist, and Social Strategist to plan and execute Student Lending content campaigns. This will involve:
+ Coordinating with Student Banking Engagement Pod (email) to ensure alignment between social content campaigns and pod content emails
+ Developing creative briefs for our internal creative agency for paid and organic social assets, including working with Channel Experts to determine best channels and placements, reviewing past campaign performance, researching trends, and pulling relevant samples
+ Serving as the primary liaison with our creative agency to oversee creative development
+ Managing compliance reviews of all creative
+ Coordinating with partners to release assets
+ Partnering with digital media, social, and analytics teams to implement tracking URLs and ensure accurate reporting
Student Lending Content – Social Campaign Development and Execution
College Raptor – Executional Support
+ Support the Citizens college planning platform, College Raptor, with light executional needs, such as providing student lending focused feedback and new articles.
+ Partner with Student Lending Marketing Partners and internal creative agency to develop Citizens seasonal student lending ads for the College Raptor site.
Student Banking - Executional Support
+ Develop and maintain an overarching Student Banking marketing calendar by collaborating with Growth Strategist, Student Banking Engagement Pod (email), Student Banking Hub Pod (web), and channel experts (content, digital media, public relations).
+ Partner with other marketing partners to develop Student Banking retail assets.
+ Provide light support of Student Banking Hub Pod (web) by providing feedback on web pages and submitting them for compliance reviews.
+ Support the student lending “College Bound Citizens” team by coordinating marketing promotion of webinars during critical times of year.
Additional Responsibilities
+ Oversee campaign budgets, ensuring accuracy of commitments and monitoring invoicing
+ Surface testing opportunities with Consumer Lending Test & Learn pod.
+ Collaborate with colleagues to document processes for newer Student Banking workstreams and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
+ 5+ years of marketing experience, with direct experience in email and/or digital marketing.
+ Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
+ Highly organized planner with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
+ Proactive troubleshooter who is comfortable asking questions, anticipating dependencies, and working through solutions to problems.
+ Enthusiasm for new marketing trends and innovative testing opportunities.
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ Student lending, education, or other financial services experience is a plus.

Hours 40
Schedule M-F 8-5 3 days in the Westwood MA office 2 days work from home.
