Position Summary:
Decisive Point Consulting Group, LLC (DPCG) is seeking a mission-driven Joint Planning Analyst to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J-3/5/7 Directorate’s strategic, operational, and contingency planning efforts. The Joint Planning Analyst will assist senior planners in executing the Joint Planning Process (JPP), supporting DISA’s role as the DoD’s global provider of information transport and enterprise-level communications services across the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).
The analyst will contribute to developing, analyzing, and coordinating cyberspace operation plans, concepts, orders, and readiness assessments, ensuring planning products are aligned with Joint Force objectives and fully integrated across Combatant Commands, USCYBERCOM, and Joint Forces Headquarters–DODIN (JFHQ-DODIN).
Essential Functions:
+ Support the execution of the JPP to include mission analysis, COA development, COA comparison, wargaming, and order development.
+ Assist in drafting and maintaining operational plans (OPLANs), concept plans (CONPLANs), fragmentary orders (FRAGOs), and OPORDs.
+ Collaborate with DISA, CCMDs, and interagency stakeholders to ensure synchronization of cyberspace planning efforts and integration of DODIN mission requirements.
+ Conduct research and analysis of operational and threat environments to inform contingency and campaign planning efforts.
+ Prepare planning documents, briefings, and decision support products for senior leadership, working across DISA and DoD-wide planning communities.
+ Track planning inputs, assumptions, risk factors, and mission dependencies in support of time-sensitive or crisis-driven operations.
+ Participate in and support Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), and Global Synchronization Boards.
Required Qualifications:
+ Active TS/SCI clearance
+ Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, National Security, Military Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
+ At least 5+ years of relevant experience in DoD joint operational planning, analysis, or support to strategic communications and cyberspace operations
+ Working knowledge of the Joint Planning Process (JPP), Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX), and Joint Doctrine
+ Familiarity with DISA’s mission and the operational role of the DODIN in support of Joint Forces and Combatant Commands
+ Proficiency in developing briefings, white papers, planning documents, and conducting structured operational research
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience supporting DISA, USCYBERCOM, JFHQ-DODIN, or CCMD-level planning activities
+ Understanding of key planning systems such as GCCS-J, JPES, JOPES, and associated classified networks
+ Knowledge of cyber threat landscapes and the role of Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) in strategic planning
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with senior government officials, planners, and analysts
