Your role and responsibilities
Our Corporate Affairs team drives broad, cross-company reputation and positioning initiatives by bringing together complimentary functions that shape perceptions of the company among specific audiences: top tier reporters, industry analysts, current or potential clients, and IBMers.
As part of Corporate Affairs, the IBMer Communications team works directly with IBM’s senior leadership on internal and external content, programs and experiences to help align IBMers to the company’s strategy, promote a strong culture, and contribute to IBM’s success.
In this position, you will partner with colleagues across multiple teams and geographies to ensure we provide sellers with the knowledge, information, and clear calls to action needed to delight clients and deliver successful outcomes.
To be successful, you must come to work with a growth mindset, be comfortable with navigating multiple projects, and embrace collaborating with large cross-company, multi-disciplinary and global teams.
Based in Raleigh, this role requires a minimum of three days in the office, providing a blend of personal flexibility, access to leadership, and a thriving in-person environment.

• Quick learner with a strong sense of curiosity and a willingness to grow through feedback and new challenges.
• Enthusiastic problem solver who contributes creative thinking to communication strategies and project planning.
• Committed to continuous learning and growth, with a focus on refining approaches to meet evolving business needs.
• Strong writer with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible content
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Channel Exposure: Familiar with a variety of communication channels (intranet, blog, video, events, email, social media) and how to use them to engage internal teams and support alignment.
• Data-Informed Approach: Comfortable using data and insights to help refine messaging strategies and measure communication effectiveness.
• Collaborative Partner: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to support timely and consistent communications.
• Marketing Awareness: Growing understanding of how digital content, media, and events contribute to brand awareness and customer engagement across the buyer journey.
