Hybrid work schedule available, up to 50% telework depending on business needs. _This is a Temporary Unclassified position anticipated to last between six (6) months to one (1) year with potential for extension._

This position reviews various non-depository license applications (i.e. mortgage, money service, consumer credit) that are filed through a national registry and provides assistance with the Department's regulatory oversight of such licenses. The incumbent must review and analyze application materials based on numerous Minnesota Statutes and approve or deny requests so that businesses and individuals operate in compliance with the law and consumers are treated fairly. The position will also assist with preparing data reports as requested by SPA Director and Non-Depository Director.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Two (2) years professional experience that supports analyzing data, applications, or similar work in a financial related field.

Applicants who meet the above experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:

+ Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend/understand and apply licensing laws and regulations.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

+ Effective organizational and time management skills

+ Communication skills (verbal and written) and human relation skills sufficient to interact effectively with supervisory staff, co-workers, and customers

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related degree

+ Excel experience that includes the use of data sorting, pivot tables, data validation, managing workbooks, creating charts and analysis

+ Experience preparing license applications for a regulatory agency or reviewing license applications for a regulatory agency

+ Experience in mortgage, real estate, consumer credit, or other regulatory or compliance work

Physical Requirements

Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
