• Administrator, Behavioral Health

    University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA)


    The Administrator oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health services throughout the organization in partnership with the Department of Psychiatry and UVA Health leadership. This position will ensure compliance with regulations, developing programs, and collaborating with key stakeholders, both within the health system and external community partners, to provide accessible and quality behavioral health care to patients.

     

    + **Strategic Planning:** Support the development of and execute comprehensive behavioral health service plans aligned with organizational goals, including identifying community needs and gaps in service.

    + **Program Development and Implementation:** Structuring and launching new behavioral health programs, including treatment modalities, outreach initiatives, and patient care progression..

    + **Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:** Ensuring compliance with all UVA Health policies and applicable federal, state, and local behavioral health regulations.

    + **Reporting and Documentation:** Preparing reports on program performance and utilization of services for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

    + **Quality Assurance:** Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behavioral health processes and programs through data analysis, patient feedback, and performance metrics.

    + **Community Outreach and Collaboration:** Building relationships with other community organizations, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups to facilitate referrals and coordinate services.

    + **Leadership:** Participate in leadership activities to support the organizations strategic plan, including partnering with UVA Health’s government relations team.

     

    Position Compensation Range: $149,801.60 - $239,678.40 Annual

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    **EDUCATION:** Master’s Degree in a related field such as mental health counseling, social work, psychology, nursing or related field with a focus on administration or healthcare management. If licensed to practice as Registered Nurse- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program.

    **EXPERIENCE:** Minimum five years health care experience with progressive management responsibilities required. Behavioral health experience is preferred.

    **LICENSE** **:** None, RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia preferred

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
