BJC HealthCare System is hiring a **Full-Time** **Weekend** **_Registered Sonographer_** **(Ultrasound)** for **_Christian Hospital and Northwest Healthcare (St. Louis, MO)_**

$5,000 Automatic Sign-On Bonus for eligible candidates!!!

Position Details:

+ **Weekend Overnight Shift:** **_3 days a week (Friday – Sunday 6:30pm-7am)_**

+ **3 days per week**

+ **Weekend Option High Pay**

+ Full-Time (36 hours per week) – Benefits eligible

+ General Ultrasound and Vascular ( _vascular ultrasound of lower extremity venous_ )

+ ED patients

Weekend Premium Pay:

+ **Base Hourly Pay Rate + 50% Weekend Premium Pay + Night Shift differentials**

+ **Weekend Premium Pay** : 50% extra pay on top of base hourly rate!!!

+ **Shift differential** **Pay –** Overnight and weekend hours

+ **Paid on Call:** Call hours are shared between all team members with paid on-call compensation — even if you're not called in!

+ **Shared Call Hours** **Details:** M-Th (5pm-8:30pm), Fri (5pm-6:30pm), Sat (3pm-6:30pm), & Sun (7am-6:30pm)

_Requirements:_

+ Associate degree or Trade School equivalency ( _or higher level of education_ )

+ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

+ One year commitment

_Experience:_

+ 1 year experience (preferred)

+ Must be able to perform general ultrasound for abdomen, OB/Gyn, small parts, thyroid and perform vascular ultrasound of lower venous

+ Work independently

+ _Upcoming Graduating Sonography Students, Radiology students, Registered Sonographer_ **_,_** _Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Ultrasound Technician, Ultrasound Technologist, or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Abdominal, Vascular_

_Northwest HealthCare_ , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Ultrasound Department provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. Routine ultrasound services include obstetrical, gynecological, abdominal, small parts, color flow, and spectral Doppler diagnostic examinations. Services are offered in the department as well as at bedside to patients in the ICU and the PCU.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular imaging

Responsibilities

+ Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment.

+ Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures.

+ Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area.
