Relocation Specialist for Seniors and Families

Washington, DC - Part Time

Join a locally owned company dedicated to delivering professional and courteous services to help seniors and families with relocation, downsizing, house cleanouts, online auctions, estate sales, and more!

Responsibilities

+ You will be responsible for sorting, organizing, taking photos for online auctions, boxing items for pick up and shipping, and other similar activities

+ Move supplies and boxes within the client’s home

+ Move supplies and boxes within the client’s home

+  Lift boxes, decor, and some furniture within the home and to new locations

+ Sort, organize, and pack household goods for moving or sale

+ Safely pack and unpack goods

+ Dispose of unwanted items for donation or removal

+ Deliver and ship items purchased through online auctions

+ Interact with clients, their families, and other coworkers

+ Perform various tasks as no two days are alike

Skills

+  Excellent communication and listening skills

+ Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to working with older adults

+ Curiosity and willingness to learn

Qualifications

+ Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

+ Access to a smartphone for scheduling, time-keeping, and project management apps

+ Availability for part-time hours is essential, as no two days or weeks are the same with no guarantee of hours

+ Must be able to pass a background & drug test

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
