• Director of Housing Memory Care

    Emerald Crest of Burnsville and Emerald Crest of Shakopee are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Housing to lead our memory care communities. In this unique dual-site role, you’ll divide your time between both locations, each dedicated to serving individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia while working a consistent weekday schedule. This is a meaningful opportunity to lead with purpose, ensuring residents receive dignified care in a safe, supportive environment.

     

    As Director of Housing, you’ll oversee daily operations, foster strong relationships with residents, families, and staff, and ensure compliance with housing and regulatory standards. We’re looking for a thoughtful, mission-driven leader with prior housing or property management experience, ideally in senior or memory care. A related bachelor’s degree, knowledge of housing regulations, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential to success in this role.

     

    Position Type: Full-Time

     

    Pay Range: $39 to $48 per hour depending on experience.

    Director of Housing Responsibilities:

    + Manage the day-to-day operations of a senior housing building that specializes in memory care.

    + Display an understanding of confidentiality for resident information and vulnerable adult issues.

    + Oversee the facility financial performance.

    + Provide exceptional leadership to the Emerald Crest team through positive engagement between staff, residents, families, and guests.

    + Oversee staff development, hiring practices, in-service training sessions, performance feedback, and promote a strong teamwork environment.

    + Support the initiatives of the Sales and Marketing Director to attract potential residents that will meet or exceed occupancy and service-offerings expectations at Emerald Crest.

    + Maintain and manage state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

    + Participate in development of strategic long-range plans for the community and our organization.

    Director of Housing Qualifications:

    + BA or BS degree in Health, Gerontology or Business Administration or another related field.

    + MN licensure to work as a LALD, Licensed Assisted Living Director

    + Previous experience in business management, emphasis on property management preferred.

    + 2+ years of staff supervisory experience preferred.

    + Understanding of the comprehensive assisted living rules and regulations.

    + Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

    + Positive interpersonal, communication, & financial management skills.

    + Outstanding time management experience along with excellent communication, organizational and computer skills.
