Our client is a fast-growing small business chemical packaging company headquartered in Oklahoma, and they are seeking a new **Director / Manager of Quality** for both their wet lab, dry lab manufactured products packaging line. This is a 4/10 hour week so long weekends every week!
This is a hands-on role involving **auditing** all processes and procedures. Candidates will be strong in upholding and updating policy and procedures, can work with and support all quality staff and pride themselves on top quality products reaching the door of their customers. The plant is experiencing rapid growth so operating 24 hours now.
**Position Title:** Director of Quality
**Location** : Oklahoma
**Work Schedule** : On-Site (4/10 schedule M-T)
**Salary Range** : $125k-$145k, plus discretionary bonus at year end

**Direct Reports** : 9-10 (more as they expand)
**QUALIFICATIONS OF CANDIDATES NEEDED** :
+ **Hands-on Leadership in GMP/Regulatory Environments** : Experience managing quality in FDA-regulated settings (cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or consumer products), including writing SOPs, overseeing audits, and leading GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance.
+ **Strong Execution and Independence** : Requires high accountability, ability to work independently, and the mental acuity to manage audits from vendors or federal agencies, training, and documentation of new or updates to the policy and procedures manual.
+ **Experience Managing Complex Quality Teams** : Must be comfortable overseeing multiple labs, training staff across shifts, and coordinating with production — ideally with at least two years of team management experience in a fast-paced consumer products/manufacturing environment.
+ **Tech savvy-** client uses Warehouse Management SAP
+ **Strong Execl skills-** KPI reporting is needed eg batches made, released, rejected, customer feedback
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Oversees multiple labs: microbiology labs (2 day shift, 1 night shift), wet labs, and analytical labs.
+ Lead GMP practices for pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging, including training staff, writing SOPs, and assist COO in managing audits.
+ Manage laboratory functions, including batch testing, water sampling, and reconciliation processes.
+ Trains quality line staff who report to other department managers.
+ Oversee all quality-related operations across labs, production lines, and documentation to ensure regulatory and customer compliance.
+ Ensure compliance with FDA and other regulatory agencies, and handle annual filings and third-party audits.
+ Drive process improvements by implementing quality systems, reviewing corrective actions, and maintaining strong documentation control.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
+ Safety protocols
+ Strong knowledge of Federal Government agency regulations, particularly FDA and GMP requirements.
+ Experience with analytical equipment and a technical understanding of equipment operations.
+ Demonstrated ability to write and maintain SOPs, training materials, and audit documentation.
+ A bachelors degree is preferred: in a Science or equivalent, **but not required.** It is the experience our client is looking for.
+ Quality Management experience
+ Ideally with at least two years of team management experience in a fast-paced consumer products/manufacturing environment.
