    Arnot Health is currently seeking a Laboratory Services Courier to join our Laboratory Services team. This full-time position is essential in supporting non-technical laboratory functions including specimen transport, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and general office support.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Specimen Transport: Perform courier duties between Arnot Ogden Medical Center (AOMC) and St. Joseph’s Hospital (SJH), ensuring timely and secure specimen delivery.

    + Specimen Processing: Receive, label, decant, and prepare specimens for testing in accordance with laboratory protocols.

    + Reference Lab Preparation: Prepare specimens for external laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with transport and handling guidelines.

    + Specimen Tracking: Utilize laboratory computer systems to locate and manage specimen status and testing updates.

    + Administrative Support: Answer phones, manage faxes, maintain logs, and perform other general office duties as needed.

    + Customer Service: Interact with patients and staff in a courteous, compassionate, and responsive manner to ensure a positive experience.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    + Valid driver’s license required

    Additional Requirements:

    + Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs

    + Standing, bending, reaching, and walking required throughout shift

    + Must comply with infection control and safety standards

    + Exposure Category I – Risk of exposure to blood and body fluids
