Sonographer – Ultrasound (Levels I, II, III, IV) Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $52.21 - $82.31, Per Diem, Various shifts and hours per week. Pay is based on level and certifications *Range includes per diem differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. +$8.00/hr for night shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic Ultrasound exams in the areas of Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Pediatric, and small parts imaging. You will assist the radiologists with procedures and ensure optimal patient care. As a proficient communicator, you will serve as a problem-solving leader and organizer, by fostering effective collaboration with staff. Responsibilities •Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care, ensuring a positive experience throughout the diagnostic imaging process. •Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a variety of specialties (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts) using sound judgment, proper scanning techniques, and accurate anatomical measurements to support clinical diagnosis. •Collaborate closely with Radiologists and interpreting physicians by providing high-quality images and relevant clinical information to aid in timely and accurate interpretation. •Assist Radiologists and physicians with ultrasound-guided invasive procedures, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety throughout. •Safely transport patients to and from the Imaging Department, prioritizing patient comfort and adhering to transport protocols. •Routinely inspect, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance; report malfunctions promptly to biomedical engineering and department leadership •Participate in ongoing quality assurance and quality control initiatives to maintain accreditation standards and improve patient outcomes. •Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations as required, providing emergency diagnostic imaging services. •Follow proper infection control protocols and safety procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous and infectious materials. •Efficiently utilize the hospital’s electronic medical record (EMR) and radiology information systems (RIS/PACS) for scheduling, image archiving, and reporting. •Review clinical histories, prior imaging, and relevant test results to determine appropriate imaging protocols and ensure comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
