Amazon’s Transportation Operations Management team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader to drive large scale projects, programs, and technical initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a rapidly growing area within Amazon.

As a Manager, Planning and Development for TOM planning, you will be responsible for leading a team that supports the labor planning for 150+ Fulfillment and Sortation Centers. This role will be responsible for partnering with multiple stakeholders to forecast the labor planning needs for TOM for peak and non-peak timeframes. A critical part of this role is to develop stable models for the labor planning team and to be able to take the stabilized models to the next level from an automation standpoint. This role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and HR stakeholders in a high-pressure environment. You will manage a high-visibility program and partner with all levels of leadership to exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

- Lead strategic workforce planning and forecasting for transportation operations

- Develop and implement advanced labor allocation models

- Drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, and Recruiting teams

- Analyze data to identify operational risks and opportunities

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree

- Experience managing a team

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
