    We are seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead strategic business operations for AWS' SCORE (Solutions Core Experiences) organization within Applied AI Solutions. This is a transformative role that will shape how we deliver innovative AI experiences to our customers while revolutionizing our operational model.

     

    As the Principal Program Manager, you will serve as the critical bridge between our ambitious vision and practical execution, ensuring successful implementation of SCORE's mission to deliver adaptive, proactive, and trustworthy AI solutions. You will be instrumental in orchestrating our transition to a "global maxima" model - a dynamic approach that enables fluid deployment of talent across product boundaries to maximize organizational impact.

     

    Business Goal Process: you will be instrumental in establishing and refining our business goal process. This involves collaborating with key stakeholders to articulate our strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with the overall mission of the organization. You will lead the development and implementation of processes to track, measure, and report on the progress of these goals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

     

    Business and Operational Metrics: In this capacity, you will be at the forefront of setting up mechanisms to create and drive both business and operational metrics. This encompasses business performance, operational efficiency, and infrastructure planning and budgeting. Your role will extend to ensuring the availability of accurate and timely data for decision-making purposes, playing a critical part in optimizing resource allocation and enhancing overall organizational performance.

     

    Cross-Team Liaison: As the liaison between various teams, including Finance, HR and Recruiting, Infrastructure, Legal, and more, you will be responsible for fostering collaboration and communication. Engaging with these cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless coordination and alignment of short term deliverables for to meet urgent but important business needs. Your ability to navigate diverse stakeholder landscapes and drive outcomes will be pivotal in achieving organizational objectives.

    Key job responsibilities

    * Lead the strategic transformation of our operating model, ensuring seamless integration between innovative working methods and established Amazon processes

    * Design and implement measurement frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of our new operational model, focusing on viability, feasibility, and desirability metrics

    * Drive cross-functional alignment and remove barriers to enable fluid resource allocation across product boundaries

    * Develop and monitor key performance indicators that demonstrate the success of our transformation initiatives

    * Partner with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of high-priority initiatives

    * Builds and maintains knowledge management tools, such as wikis and shared drives, and project management tools, such as intake, resource capacity tracking and project health reports

    * Own the onboarding process for new hires, helping them way find and become fully integrated into the team

    * Working with leadership on setting and communicating the UX Design roadmap, resourcing and prioritization for on-going and future vision projects

    * Participate in weekly team sync meetings, as part of the team, but also to help capture action items and team activities

    * Help organize and facilitate key activities from morale events, all-hands, partner meetings and design jams

    Basic Qualifications

    *Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field

    *Experience in program/project management or business operations

    *Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives

    *Experience with business intelligence tools and data analysis

    *Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools

    Preferred Qualifications

    *Experience with Agile methodologies and tools

    *Track record of successful stakeholder management across multiple teams and organizations

    *Experience in resource planning and capacity management

    *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making

    *Excellence in written and verbal communication

    *PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials

    *Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

    *Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority

    *Experience with operational excellence and process improvement methodologies

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
