    We are actively seeking exceptional candidates who possess a blend of technical and customer-facing skills to successfully work in the development of Amazon Robotic Systems. This individual will require a unique combination of creativity and leadership skills. As part of this highly influential team, candidates have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with global teams within Amazon to contribute to the challenges and continuous innovation of the Amazon Robotic Systems.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Develop Reliability strategies for complex robotic solutions optimized for availability, life cycle cost, and performance.

    • Define reliability requirements and allocations for complex systems.

    • Develop Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) models and drive optimization of Amazon Robotics systems

    • Explore and inform design trade-offs between reliability, performance, cost, schedule etc..

    • Manage reliability risks through development through effective Failure Modes Effects Analyses and NUDD.

    • Develop reliability test plans and data collection strategies.

    • Expand and optimize diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), and error code reporting

    A day in the life

     

    Work as a member of development teams to identify, prioritize and mitigate risks to system reliability

     

    Engage with cross-functional teams to develop reliability requirements, models, and manage risks.

     

    Use statistics and engineering knowledge to design test plans, analyze results and solve issues.

     

    Participate in design reviews.

    About the team

    Amazon Robotics Reliability Engineering is a team of experts in diverse engineering disciplines joined by a passion to astonish customers through solving complex optimization problems. We succeed by embracing ambiguity, moving at a fast pace, and supporting each other's growth.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

     

    - 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

     

    - Experience with prototyping and implementation

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
