Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst (SFA) to be a key member in our AWS Sales, Marketing & Global Services (SMGS) FP&A team. This role is a high visibility role that provides candidate opportunity to directly work with senior leaders. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our fastest growing business divisions within Amazon. As an SFA, you will work closely with finance leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements & actions, and identifying paths to improve overall planning and forecasting process.
Key job responsibilities
• Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports and scorecards used for consolidation reports for cadence reporting.
• Develop top-line revenue forecasts in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data to create meaningful analyses and models that drive business decisions.
• Partner with finance technology and BI team to streamline reporting infrastructure and automation
• Lead month end close deep dives and consolidations
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
