Description

Robert Half Legal is currently partnering with a boutique defense law firm located in Century City to fill a Litigation Attorney position on a contract-to-hire basis. Key Responsibilities

+ Manage all aspects of litigation cases, including pleading, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

+ Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents in state and federal court proceedings.

+ Represent clients in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings.

+ Research legal issues and stay updated on recent case law and regulatory changes relevant to the defense practice area.

+ Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients, ensuring their objectives are effectively met.

+ Collaborate with team members to evaluate case strategy and develop innovative solutions for complex legal matters.

+ Maintain accurate case records and billing documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 3+ years of litigation experience required, preferably in a defense-focused practice.

+ Active license to practice law in California and familiarity with California court rules.

+ Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.

+ Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.

+ Proficiency in legal technologies and tools, including legal research platforms and case management software.

+ Ability to work independently while also being a team player in a collaborative environment.
